This is the first dress donated for a makeover! I remember when Alleen actually bought it a few years ago in Kensington Market. It was really too big for her then, and still is, even more so. But the fabric is fabulous. It's a heavy, ornate brocade in gold and red, and there's no lining to rip out. I'm going to try to make a jacket out of it, and who knows, there may be something left for a bag.
